We all need time to rest, restore and recharge. Check out these essential practices that encourage you to rest as part of your daily self-care.

Are you getting enough rest? If you aren’t getting enough rest usually the reason is an underlying beliefs that is reflected in the choices you are making. So here are a few helpful questions to challenge your existing beliefs.

  • What does rest look like to you?
  • When do you feel well-rested?
  • When you are resting what would you be doing or not doing?
  • What can you change to prioritise your rest so that you are able to make the most of every day?

Rest is down-time for your body and brain and we all need it. You’ve probably noticed the difference yourself when you feel well-rested and when you are running on empty. Rest builds resilience, allows our body to relax and energy levels to restore, improves our immunity, cell repair and supports clear thinking, I really could go on all day. Think of it like a buffer zone, a little bit of space that protects you and your energy from becoming stressed or overwhelmed.
