Kindness is often the most courageous act when we feel stressed, anxious or overwhelmed.

Are you kind to yourself when you need it most?

In the moments where I have been challenged by stress, anxiety or overwhelm I’ve found that kindness towards myself is the path of least suffering for all involved.

When I become resistant to what I know I need, it’s often because I feel the need to overcome, to prove myself and be stronger than my circumstances. Alternatively, no effort is required for compassion, just being yourself, acceptance of how you feel and the courage to give yourself what you need in the moment, whether that be rest, nourishing yourself with supportive nutrition, discovering opportunities for fresh perspectives and letting go with playfulness or creating safety with healthy boundaries.
